These classes explores use of various tools such as mind calming techniques, breathing, sound, and guided imagery in the practice and purpose of yoga: stilling the mind in order to become more conscious and concentrated.
Tuesday 7:45-8:30pm - Focuses on Mindfulness and Meditation techniques, discussion
Thursday - 7:45-9pm Focuses on Mindfulness techniques as it relates to yogic philosophy ie. Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita, 8 Limbs of Yoga
The meditation involves sitting and/or lying on the floor with props and assistance for comfort. After our sit, we will engage in a discussion of our experience and how we can continue this practice in other areas of our life.
